Mechanical Noise and Vibration Control
Noise and vibration control is useful where critical listening, conferencing or living spaces are located adjacent to noise or vibration sources. Design recommendations for the abatement of mechanical equipment vibration and considerations for acoustic isolation, transmission and absorption of environmental noise are provided. Recommendations for wall, floor and ceiling construction methods and finishes are also presented to control the transfer of noise between adjacent spaces.
