Raynerfamily.net Music Picks

If I think about my wider interests for a moment, I quickly realize the most important is music. Music is with me everywhere, every day - in fact I am more like to spend time listening to music than watching TV or movies. With this in mind I thought I would add a music component to our site and encourage like-minded visitors to respond -- Paul, January 2008.

Raynerfamily.net proudly presents its top music picks from 2007 and invites you to email us with your vote for favorite choice. And as this year unfolds, we invite you to suggest candidates for Raynerfamily.net top picks of 2008. Our picks for 2007 are largely derived from the music we purchased during the year - and there is clearly a UK bias in our tastes. Our picks are not necessarily 2007 releases. Some may have been released elsewhere earlier, but not released in the US until 2007. Others are simply those we didn't get around to buying until recently. Nevertheless, these are the sounds you would have heard emanating from the Rayner house, our cars, etc. during 2007. So, in no particular order, here they are:

Amy Winehouse

Arcade Fire

Arctic Monkeys

Bloc Party

The Cure

Editors

Elbow

The Futureheads

Human League

Interpol

Kasabian

The Kooks

Radiohead

The Smithereens

Snow Patrol

The View
