So, what am I all about? Well, I'll tell ya.....
I was raised the only child in a loving and supportive family; In my opinion, I had the best possible upbringing (except my Mom wouldn't let me have a motorcycle). I was taught to respect other people, to try my best to look at each situation through the eyes of compassion and Christianity, and to do my best to make the world a better place.
I had the usual collegiate years (party, party, study, party), a number of less than satisfying romances, and a wonderful marriage that had quality, if not quantity. Now, the world is my oyster, and I intend to eat it raw.
I am a talented writer of both prose and poetry, though I have problems churning out enough to do me any good, and my best poems are always about women. Sad, but only to be expected.
I am a cat-person, born and bred; besides, dogs are too slavish, and if I'm gonna have a slave, I want one that can clean the house for me. (Joke. No reason to email the NAACP.) I like Science Fiction, and would one day like to publish a SF novel and be a guest at a Convention. I especially like Star Trek and Babylon 5, due to their ongoing character development, but Ripley, from Alien... ohhhh, baby.
In addition to my day job as an engraver, I'm currently pursuing two business ventures; trying to break into the local print media, as a writer, not a lockpick, and also a home business in commercial webpage construction, placment, and promotion. Need a webpage for your business? Pamphlets or leaflets? Call me... Believe me, if I get published, you'll see it here.
I am also an avid fan of Medieval Japanese History. For a Gaijin, I am well-versed in the culture, technology and philosophy of the Samurai. I have seen the sword-master Toshishiro Obata ply his trade in person, and was much impressed. As far as I'm concerned, Akira Kurosawa was the best movie director ever, and Toshiro Mifune was the Japanese John Wayne.
I went to Auburn University, and I follow Tiger Football exclusively... after all, pros only do it for the money.
I am an outdoor type of guy, as well. I love camping, skeet shooting, and building little houses out in the woods. I made a catapult out of bamboo once, but couldn't get the range I wanted, so the project was scrapped.
I hope you enjoyed looking through my pages, but in all honesty, if you didn't, I'll still sleep like a baby...
