Cube to cube track joints are made by laying the track over the joint and then cutting the track with a razor saw. This results in a reliable, inconspicuous joint.

This is my demo that I take to train shows

The same color is used for the hill profile (painted on backdrop)
and the ground to enhance the illusion of distance.

This is a complete N scale layout with a double sided backdrop.
One side is Fall, the other is Winter.
