Study Companion for

Computer Networks

This site will provide a study guide for a Computer Networks course. It is designed to be a direct companion to the Computer Networks, 3rd Edition, by Andrew S. Tanenbaum (Prentice Hall, 1996).

Since this guide is being done as a project for the Vanderbilt University course in Computer Networks (CS 283, Spring 1997, Apon), it is not possible to provide a guide to the complete course within the time limits of the semester. It will, however, cover the Physical Layer (Chapter 2) in depth.
