And your Oratrix further shows unto this honorable Court that after the said marriage with the said Isaac Earle as aforesaid she lived and cohabited with him, as his wife, in the said Town of Dresden until the time of her removal therefrom to this State with her said husband as hereinafter stated.

And your Oratrix further shows unto this honorable Court that while she lived and cohabited with the said Isaac Earle as aforesaid in the said Town of Dresden, she had seven children the fruits of such marriage who are now living the names and present ages of whom are respectively as follows to wit - Polly ann Earle twenty two years old, George Earle twenty years, Clarrinda Earle Seventeen years and upwards, July Earle fifteen years and upwards Isaac Earle thirteen years and upwards, Emiley Earle eleven years and upwards and Loretta Earle Seven years and upwards (note: previous underlined words crossed out in original transcript) and all now reside with her in Said town of LaPrarie except the Said Polly Ann who resides at Johnstown in said county and the Said George who resides in the City of Chicago in the State of Illinois.

And your Oratrix further shows unto this honorable Court that for many years before she removed from the said State of New York into this State as hereinafter set forth the said Isaac Earle commenced a course of cruel and inhuman treatment towards your Oratrix and her children which he continued almost without interruption until their said removal to this State.

Dell Prairie was located in Section 30 of the Town of Dell Prairie in Adams County. This is in the southeastern part of that county, about 4 miles northeast of Wisconsin Dells. The post office in Dell Prairie was established October 1, 1852 and discontinued March 5, 1878. It was re-opened May 6, 1879 but closed "for good" on November 7, 1893. Mail service was then transferred to "Kilbourn City," which later (1931) was re-named Wisconsin Dells (and is located in Columbia County).
