| NOTES for Adin: In 1850, in Moriah, the family consisted of Aden, "Alvira," Mary, Gilson, and Charlotte Locke (age 65). The relationship of Charlotte was not specified. Also with the family, as laborers, were Benjamin Marchand and Thomas Lewis. Aden was a farmer (U.S. Census). In 1860, still farming in Moriah, the family was "Adin," "Eloisa," Mary A., William G., Lucy F. and Samuel H. In 1870, enumerated in Bradford Township, Rock, Wisconsin (U.S. Census). He was a farmer, with Melvina, Mary, Lucy, and Samuel. Enumerated in Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin with son Samuel H. and family in 1900 (U.S. Census).
