| "Albert and Rebecca Gay Coss moved to Isabel from Mankata, Kansas in about 1901. They lived on a farm bordering the northwest corner of town. They later moved into town. Albert was a Civil War veteran. Mr. and Mrs. Coss were active in the Methodist Church. When they moved to Isabel there were 8 living children - Emma Coss Costner, Leroy Coss, Thomas A. Coss, John F. Coss, Verna Coss Haworth, Charles D. Coss, Florence Coss McEntire and Nellie Coss McCulley. Several of these lived in the Isabel area at least part of their lives. They are all deceased. Albert deceased in 1923 and Rebecca in 1941. They are both buried in Isabel Cemetery."
