Certified Financial Planner Continuing Education Requirements

Each CFP registrant shall fufill 30 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years. These are calendar years from January 1 - December 31. The two-year period is referred to as the reporting period. Credit must be 'earned from at least two of the following subject areas:

Employee Benefits

Estate Planning

Insurance Planning

Investments

Retirement Planning

Taxation

Hours in excess ot the 30 hours required for the reporting period may not be carried over to subsequent reporting periods.
