Certified Public Accountants must complete 80 hours of continuing education every two years, of which a minimum of 20 hours shall have been earned each year. A minimum of 16 hours shall be in accounting and auditing subjects.
The two year period is referred to as the reporting period. Hours in excess of the 80 hours required during the reporting period may not be carried over to subsequent reporting periods.
