LH agents who are exempt from taking a written examination |

Newly licensed LH agents are exempt for the first compliance period
if license was issued after 8/1 |

PC agents holding the limited licenses of industrial fire, small loan,
full coverage auto, physical damage on household goods, or limited surety |

Newly licensed PC agents have the rest of the year licensed and the
next license year to meet CE |
| Method to certify completion: |
The agent transfers information from the certificates of completion
to Mississippi's summary report form. The summary report must be submitted
to the insurance department at license renewal. For PC, the agent must
submit the original certificates of completion to the insurance department
with the summary report, and keep copies of the certificates in his or
her files. For LH, the agent keeps a copy of the summary report and the
original certificates of completion in his or files; the certificates of
completion do not need to be submitted to the insurance department. |
| Nonresidents: |
Exempt if agent's home state requires continuing education. Agent must
submit letter of certification with renewal. |
