A Comprehensive Deduction of Physics from START

Abstract:: We show that the 5-D quadratic space START we have introduced for the study of the structures of physics allows a definition of general relativity as the mathematical structure in that space which describes the trajectory of matter bodies or light rays. In particular we show that light beams, in all type of media, can be defined as associated with null trajectories in this 5-D geometry. The relevance of the construction for other basic theories of physics is also briefly described, with special emphasis in Quantum Mechanics. With our approach the basic structures of Physics are deduced from a set of Principles and Theorems.
