Camping Stuff

Here's our latest toy. It's a 35' 1999 Airstream Cutter on a Freightliner Chassis. It has a 330hp Caterpiller engine that has enough power to easily pull our full-sized extended cab Dodge RAM 4X4. It has a single slide-out on the drivers' side that is about 13' long. We only had the Gulf Steam about 6 weeks before moving up to this. The sales guy made us an offer we couldn't refuse. Does anyone have any ocean-front property in Arizona they'd like to unload? ;>

This was our previous toy. It's a 30' 1999 Gulf Stream Ultra built on a ford Chassis. It had a V-10 engine that seemed to have plenty of pull and gets between 8 and 9 Miles Per Gallon. But, it also had an exaust leak and the floorboards got pretty hot.It had two slide-outs on the drivers' side. One housed the sofa in the front room. The other allowed us to get the queen bed out of the way. We never got around to pulling anything behind it.

This '94 Coleman Sequoia pop-up was our first real entry into camping equipment. I bought it used from a guy up in Balitmore, MD. It had an electric lift mechanism so there was no cranking - very nice. There was also a hot water heater and outside shower. I built a shower surround that attached to the roof so you could baith in privacy. It was perfect for out of the way state parks like Mt. Pisgah, NC; our traditional Labor Day retreat. I also installed an AM/FM/CD player that sat under the outside stove. There were two speakers inside and one mounted outside under the radio.
