Shining Rock Wilderness

Saturday, October 21, 2000 -- Wifey gives up and decides to live out the rest of her life alongside the Old Butt Knob Trail. Her knees simply wouldn't take any more travel on the steep downhill slope. Eventually, I was able to persuade her to let me carry her five-pound camera and we slowly made our way back down to the parking area. Ouch. photo by Dan
