Imouto, Last night's Buffy wasn't just a let down, it was a fricking disaster. I quote bamirin. "It's like they're trying to destroy everything this season." unquote. Far too much foolishness involving Xander's roly-poly butt.(I've SO grown to hate his character). What they've done to Buffy and Spike pisses me off greatly and I hope it's resolved soon in a much more satisfactory manner without the need to bring in useless characters that no one likes in an episode that sucked beyond measure to attempt to write themselves out of a plot that they shouldn't have travelled in that direction with in the first place. (talking about last week's Rileytacular mess, people). I have no more patience for this foolishness regarding Willow and her 'addiction'. It's a stupid plot now, it was a stupid plot then and it contradicts everything that's been established about Willow since DAY ONE. She is addicted to power, to being in control, NOT to floating off the ceiling through use of magic. Gawd, it sickens me to even have to say this. Do the writers even KNOW the characters at all? Back to the Riley episode again, just because, in the time the show's been on, we've never ONCE seen any indication that people get 'addicted' to magic, doesn't mean they don't. Hence we get Riley's perfect ho come in to tell us, that yes, this does happen. Really. It does. See? I'm perfect and I say so.
(aside, that skank playing Riley's skank pissed me off. Here she rappels down a line, and fights a demon that Buffy and Riley BOTH were getting kicked around by(and she does it better than them! Anyone else have trouble with this scenario? Honestly, I'm well past believing that there's ANYTHING in Sunnydale or beyond that Buffy should have a problem with. Hell, last season she defeated a god in rather spectacular fashion, pounding her face into a bloody pulp. And we're supposed to believe that some demon that looks like utterly stupid can smack her around like that?)
So in conclusion, this season started out fairly good, and then they zagged when they should have zigged and screwed everything straight to hell. I'm not sure how much more of this I can stand though. >_<
