1. CAVALRY LEADERS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

2. INSTRUCTIONS: This record is to be maintained by the individual Shave Tail. When a task is accomplished the aspirants supervisor will initial the task as the verifying authority for completion of the task. When all required tasks are completed the aspirant will ensure this record is delivered to the Squadron Spurs Officer or the S-1.
CORE REQUIREMENTS: DATE: 1. Qualify sharpshooter or better with assigned weapon (M16 or M9). 2. Score a 240 or better on the APFT.
3. Successfully complete a 20 km road march wearing combatequipment (LCE, 35 lb Rucksack, weapon) within 4 hours.
4. Complete initial counseling and/or submit DA Form 67-8-1 to rater.
5. Be familiar with and prepared to discuss the Squadron's Mission Essential Task List.
6. Participate in one CTC, EXEVAL, or EDRE as part of anAviation Task Force as well as demonstrate knowledge of the 82nd ABN Division N-Hour sequence.
7. Coordinate and conduct a Squadron or Troop level class on an assigned topic.
8. Attend and complete the range certification course given by the G3/DPT Range Division.
9. Plan and execute an individual or collective training event and conduct an AAR for that event IAW 25-101.
10. Plan and execute a mission using 5 para OPORD format.
11. Qualify on an crew qualification range (if applicable).
12. Read both required books from the reading list as well as two additional books from the list. Be prepared to discuss them.
13. Read and submit a two page, typed, double spaced analysis of two books from the reading list.
14. Demonstrate a working knowledge of maintenance forms and records to Troop Commander.
15. Coordinate and supervise a scheduled maintenance service on a unit vehicle/aircraft or supervise a motor or rotor stables.
