Alexander "Alec" Mullins and Laura Belle Hall

Were married in about 1905, most likely Knott County, Kentucky.  Laura Belle Hall was the daughter of Harrison Hall and Elizabeth "Sissy" Bates.  Laura was born on November 4, 1882 in Puncheon, Knott Co., KY and died on August 11, 1943 in Jackhorn, Letcher Co., KY.  She was the sixth child of eleven. 

Laura and Alec had eight children together, seven boys and one girl.  Alec and Laura are in both the 1910 and 1920 Knott Co., KY Census.  In the 1910 Knott Co. Census, Laura is listed as having three children, with two living.  Their first child is listed as aged 2 -- it is likely another child was born prior to this child.

While trying to find the Alec Mullins Cemetery, in Kite, Knott Co., KY, I met one of Alec Mullins' daughter-in-laws.  She showed me the above picture, and allowed me to take a picture of it.  I'll take another picture during my next visit -- and try not to cut off the top of Alec's head again!
