Benjamin Fearl Strange and Sarah Perry

were married on November 10th, 1887 in the home of Sarah's father, Levi Perry.  Benjamin was born October 4, 1869 in Grayson County, VA.  He first appears in the 1870 Grayson County Census as "Baily", and later appears in his father's will as "Baily".  His son, Robert Lee, clearly writes his parent's names as "Benj. F. Strange and Sarah Perry."

Benjamin died on May 16, 1938 in Knott County, KY.  He is buried in the family cemetery.

Sarah Perry was born on October 7, 1869 in Wise County, VA.   Family history has it that she died during or shortly after the birth of her second child, Lillie Strange.  According to the 1900 Knott Co. KY Census, Lillie was born in September 1892.

In Knott Co. KY on August 30, 1894, Benjamin married Laura King, daughter of James King and Sarah "Sally" Bates.

Laura & Benjamin had three children; Maggie, Liza, and Willie.   Willie died when he was 3 years old.

Laura (King) Strange died on October 6, 1933 and is buried in the family cemetery.
