Community gardens exist throughout the world, in a variety of settings. For these links, I have selected gardens from urban areas of the United States. I've chosen to include only gardens with current web sites, which also offer the reader insight into the phenomenon of a community garden.
Colorado
Boulder Community Garden
Includes information about the non-profit organization Growing
Gardens of Boulder County, and its programs. Includes a calendar of
events, and links to weather and gardening information.
Denver Urban Gardens
This site includes a list of gardens in the Denver area, up to date
volunteer information, and information about their training programs.
Georgia
Atlanta Community
Food Bank
The Food Bank is an active, positive force in the Atlanta community.
As a resident of Georgia, I've included their site despite the fact
that it does not contain much general information about community
gardens.
New York
Captial District Community
Gardens
One of the oldest community gardening organizations
in the country. This site includes a FAQ (frequently asked questions)
about community gardening.
Clinton Community

In New York's Hell's Kitchen.

York City Community Gardens
Earth Celebrations
is "a not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing environmental
issues through the arts." There site contains a map of community gardens
in NYC, current information about the preservation of those gardens,
and information about the New York City Garden Preservation Coalition.
Pennsylvania
Philadelphia
Green
The Philadelphia Green program is a large urban greening program
run by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. For more information

South Austin Community Garden
The members of this garden explain why their garden is purely organic.
Wisconsin
Eagle Heights Community
Garden
The Madison Wisconsin site includes links to gardening information,
information about their garden, and old newsletters. At the time of
