CHURCH WEBSITE COORDINATOR:

We need volunteers (preferably two) to take over the Church Website. If you are interested, please contact David Kershner as soon as possible.

THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS:

November is a time to give thanks and share God's blessings with others. One way to do that is to participate in food collection for Thanksgiving baskets, headed up by the Angels Class. Now thru Sunday, November 24 non-perishable food items will be collected in the kitchen. Suggested items include: bags/boxes of stuffing; canned cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, vegetables and fruit; and 5 lb. bags of potatoes/sweet potatoes. If you are going to provide perishable items, they can be brought to the church on the 24th. Suggested items include: turkeys/turkey breasts, pies and dinner rolls. Monetary donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated. Please sign up on the sheet provided near the donation box in the kitchen if you are going to provide a perishable item so we know how many baskets to prepare.

OUR DAILY BREAD:

Copies of Our Daily Bread for December-February are now available on the small table across from the pastor's study. A small donation is appreciated. Thanks!

CHURCH PROCEDURE:

Just a reminder that anyone interested in using the church facilities (outside of normal scheduled events) must complete a Request for Permission to Use Church Facilities form (found in the window display rack in the kitchen hall). The completed form should be given to the Trustees for approval. The Trustees will approve (or deny) the request at the meeting following receipt of the request. Please note: The Trustees meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Also, any couple planning to be married in our church should be reminded that pre-marital counseling with the pastor is still a requirement. If you have any questions regarding this policy please talk to the pastor.

LOST AND FOUND:

The following items have been left in the church kitchen and should be picked up as soon as possible: A green tinted, 8x11.5 baking dish (Anchor Ovenware) and a creme colored dinner plate. The baking dish is from one of most recent dinners the plate has been around for quite some time.

UPPER ROOM:

Copies of the Upper Room for November-December are available on the small table across from the Pastor's Study. A small donation is appreciated. Thanks!

SHOE BOX MINISTRY:

The Christmas Tree is up in the Narthex (our thanks to Bill and Patty Ferrell and the Jr. Youth Group) and gift-filled shoe boxes are being placed underneath for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritans Purse, the Christian relief and evangelism ministry led by Franklin Graham. This year, you and your family can share joy and hope with a needy child by bringing in a shoe box filled with simple gifts as outlined in the brochures (located at each entrance). Along with your gifts-filled shoe boxes, each child will receive Christian literature in his or her own language. What an opportunity to reach these children with a clear presentation of the Gospel! Deadline for shoe boxes is Sunday, November 17. I hope you will be a part of this exciting opportunity to share God's love with children in need.
