Hansel and Gretel Haus. Located in Oberammergau on Ettaler Strasse the Haus is owned and operated by the city of Munich for its orphans. It is a classic example of the paintings that decorate many of the buildings and houses in Oberammergau.

The detail here is excellent, in fact when I first saw the dog and dog house next to the door on the left I actually thought it was a real dog.

Luftmalerei is the art of painting utilizing the fresco method. How the term "air painter" came about is not clear, it may have been because the air dried the paintings or because the painters worked principally in the open air.

A wonderful display of "sweets" at the Christkindlmarkt and boy do they taste good too.
