The Kennedy Space Center Skin and SCUBA Diving Club, Inc., a.k.a. the KSC Barracudas, was formed in 1969 by a group of like-minded KSC workers for the purpose of sharing their common love of SCUBA diving and all things related to the ocean. The club is well into its fourth decade of existence, and is still going strong! To be sure, there have been a few changes, both within the club and in the sport of SCUBA diving, but our charter remains the same, as stated in the Preamble of of Constitution and Bylaws:

" We, the members of the Kennedy Space Center Skin and SCUBA Diving Club, Incorporated, do organize for the mutual recreation and pleasure of skin and SCUBA diving."

Today, our club is comprised not only of aerospace professionals, but of people of all walks of life and of all ages. Some of our youngest members represent the third generation of Barracudas, the grandchildren of some of our founding members! We are literally nationwide, boasting members from Florida to Delaware to California!
