(Sheet music in button). Again, as with the arbors, there are lots of examples of handiwork in piedmont southern cities that are from a time it seems that stones were fitted together for gateways, walls and steps, and even a group of very odd seats that look like"thrones" for some unknown royalty.

Stonework by its nature is always unique in every example, and fits beautifully into the landscape. On the cover, I included the arched panels that once supported a stair entry to a historic structure that burned down (called the "Ireland house"). I started to think of how stones apart from buildings were used throughout history as special markers (cairns, petroforms, the Joshua 4 biblical story) - and in the central part of this piece I tried to imply the tones of a meditation or prayer.
