Minako Aino: Child of Love

As you walk down the streets of Tokyo, you notice that a girl in yellow is walking towards you. You watch her, enchanted by her long golden hair, her sparkling blue eyes, and her infectous smile. But even though you see her, she doesn't notice you and promptly runs into you. With a warm smile, she apologizes and helps you up. She goes on her way leaving you intrigued. Who is she?

This is Minako Aino, recently returned from England. She speaks both English and Japanese fluently. Many people could tell you that she was a marvelous volleyball player, inventing and perfecting her own moves before she abrubtly gave it up without explanation. But few could tell you that she is Sailor Venus, one of the five inner senshi.

But Minako has been fighting longer than any of the other senshi. In London, she was the notorious crime fighter, Sailor V. Artemis, her gaurdian cat, found her and trained her long before Luna found Sailor Moon. Because of this, she is leader of the inner senshi. She is stern and practical in battle, a stark contrast to her giggling exterior.

Ironicly, the senshi of love remains single. When she was living in London, she fell in love with a young man named Alan, but lost him to her best friend Katarina. Ever since then, she's been a boy crazy, guy tracker downer who seldom gets anywhere in love. In civilian form, she's often as ditzy as Usagi. But when battle comes, she is a somber leader.
