A woman in a white lab-coat , with evergreen hair that flows to
her thighs, brushes past you. Her magenta eyes, her dark complexion, everything about
her radiates mystery. Although Setsuna Meioh's face is young, her eyes are old. They
are the eyes of one who has seen many things, one who has lived many years.
This can be no suprise, for she is Sailor Pluto, the Senshi of time. She knows all of the past and most of the future. She is immortal and ancient, full of knowledge and wisdom. She stands guard at the Gates of Time, making sure that time continues as it should, helping those that must travel through the ages.
She is somewhat secretive, afraid to get close to anyone. She is doomed, by her own choice, to live forever. If she were to befriend someone or worse, fall in love, she would outlive that person. She would loose that person, would have to watch them die without hope of ever seeing them again. Being the Gaurdian of time is a heavy responsibility.
She also carries the Time Staff, the key to time travel. Mounted on the top of this staff, is the Garnet Orb, one of the Three Talismans that will summon Sailor Saturn for the destruction of the Earth.
Not much is known about Setsuna. She must be horribly lonely, going on year after year without anyone to speak to. But she knows her duties and she will not abandon them, no matter what happens to her.
Although she rarely does battle, Sailor Pluto is a fairly powerful senshi. With just a few words, she can close the Time Gate, stopping all time travel and disturbing time continuance. However, this attack is forbidden, only to be used in the most dire need.
I admire Sailor Pluto, for accepting the heavy responsibilities and heavy burdens that she must carry. I hope that she finds happiness, one way or another.
