 At the Hikwara Jinja, a raven haired
preistess is sweeping the steps. Her hands move with practiced precision, her black
eyes scan the surrounding area. She is beautiful, graceful, and sophisticated. But
she also possesses a fiery temper, as is evident as she yells after a fleeing pair
of odangos. Rei Hino, a student at TA private school, is not a person that I would
recommend messing with.
But no one would
ever suspect this fiery maiden of being Sailor Mars, one of the five inner senshi.
Lady of the "Soul Fire", she is an implusive warrior. Quick to anger and
very powerful, she is dangerous to upset. But once she is on your side she will never
betray you, loyal to (in some cases) the death.
Rei is a decided
man-hater, bitter about her father's absence. As a famous politician, he is rarely
around, leaving her upbringing to her grandfather. Her mother died long ago, leaving
her without a female influence. But somehow she still grew up graceful and dignified,
if not a little proud.
Some accuse Rei
of being heartless and cruel, especially towards Usagi. This is ridiculous. Rei cares
about her friend very much and is rough on her because she is trying to prepare her
and train her for the hard road she will face. And even though she might go about
it the wrong way, her intentions are for the best.
