Out of the shadows of the Tokoyo Tower steps a man.
He is tall, dark, shrouded in mystery. His blue eyes twinkle from behind a white
mask, black hair peeks out from under a tall hat. In his hand he holds a single,
blood-red rose. Then, as quickly as he appeared Tuxedo Mask vanishes into the darkness.
By daylight, this same man is known as Mamoru Chiba. He is a laid-back, unassuming high school student with a flock of worshiping young girls often at his heels. But these are not his only identities. In the past, he was Prince Endymion, heir to the throne of Earth. In the future he will become Neo-King Endymion, ruler of his beloved planet.
But his home planet is not the only thing this mysterious hero strives to protect. His true love, throughout the ages has always been Princess Serenity (and all of her seperate idenities). He sacrifices himself for her regularly, enduring the worst so that she won't have to. In one case, he even abandoned her, beleiving that he was putting her in danger by being near her. And even through the most diffucult trials and tests, their love has always stood strong.
