The Unknown Witches of Oz

Cover of Unknown Witches of Oz

This is my first publsihed work. It is a continuation of the famous Oz Books by L. Frank Baum, and is the first in a conceived trilogy concerning the adventures of a teenage computer-whiz named Dan who comes to Oz and falls in love with the beautiful faerie Queen Ozma.

The “Unknown Witches” are Locasta the Good Witch of the North and her three granddaughters the Adepts at Sorcery, who make brief appearances in the “Oz Canon” and then disappear from the narrative. I’ve always considered this unfortunate, and so resolved to write a novel that returns them to the limelight!

The Unknown Witches of Oz is an exciting and whimsical adventure relating how Dan finds Locasta, lost and forgotten in the Outside World, and travels with her back to Oz, where the modest and seemingly weak-powered little witch and her three lovely granddaughters save Oz from a horrible and apparently invincible army of evil beings.

The Unknown Witches of Oz can be ordered from either the publisher, Galde Press, or from Amazon. (Note that despite what Amazon’s page says, the books in this trilogy are for a slightly older audience than 4-8... Teen to Adult is more accurate. Also ignore Amazon’s inexplicable cross-references — nothing about Native Americans or Shamanism in this book.)

The book includes beautiful illustrations by Kerry Rouleau.
