basic stand:

fabric comes down in front of the chest, passes between the legs, and wraps once around calf of the bottom leg, with the tail lying across the top of the flexed foot. the other foot stands on the fabric on top of that flexed foot. this keeps the legs from sliding, and they can bear the performer's weight.
