hip key:
|
| a peculiar way of holding position on the fabric where the silk runs between the legs and around the waist (in any of a variety of ways) and the body is supported at the waist, hanging parallel to the floor. the performer turns belly towards the standing part of the fabric, puts both legs together, and pikes (folds at the waist), turning the top hip strongly towards the standing part. somehow this is balanced. |
