2001 News & Brags

Our race club, GIT had its first oval race meet in February. We actually convinced Mark to run all the way around instead of cutting through the middle and he earned one ORC (Oval Race Champion) point. Andi also earned an ORC point and Alix ran well too, though she didn't earn any points. "One"  completed her JOR (Junior Oval Racer) title.

In January, Andi ran in a LGRA meet and now has three GRC (Gazehound Race Champion) points.

D was awarded the ASFA Miscellaneous Field Champion title which will be converted to a Field Champion title when IG's receive full recognition from ASFA. **** May 1, 2001. IG's are now a fully recognized ASFA breed and D is now an official ASFA "Field Champion.

We're having a lot of fun showing the Ice cubes and our friend Debbie is showing two of Mona's puppies that we co-bred and we're having fun watching them too.

Fall 2001****

Some amazing stuff has happened. Mark ran in an oval meet and not only did he run all the way around, he actually tried hard and ran fast. As a result, he finished his JOR title and got a bunch of oval race champion points.

Pete also ran in the oval meet and proved to be incredibly fast for his size. He won one race, even beating all the big guys.

In coursing, Mark FINISHED his ASFA Field Championship! Yeah!

Pete got two firsts and 16 points in his first weekend of ASFA coursing. Way to go little Pumkpinator!
