2001 International Invitational

The II as it's known, is ASFA's premiere coursing event with entries of 300 or 400 hounds. 2001 was the first year that the IG's were able to compete as a fully recognized breed, rather than in the miscellaneous stake. So Jack and I loaded up Andi, Mark and D and off we went.

Andi and Mark were entered in the Open Stake and D was entered in the Veteran's stake.

There are a large number of fairly big photos on this page, so be patient. All these great shots were taken by Dan Gauss, ShotOnSite photography.

D actually ran in a mixed stake with Andi and Mark, so here are all three of them

Here our friend Rick Brown is slipping D. Andi gets so excited at the start, she flips around backwards. Mark looks like he's ready to go!

This is a best of breed runoff between D and Primo. Even though the handlers are headless, I like the photo because it shows how intense the IG's are!

Great shot of D! Dan says this is as good a portrait as you can in a studio, and we think he's right.

Look at Andi go!

Mark can be pretty intense when he tries. Too bad he doesn't try this hard all the time!

Mark and Andi are very competitive with one another.
