The GNOME project has built a complete free and easy-to-use desktop environment for the user, as well as a powerful application framework for the software developer.

Developed and supported by hundreds of volunteers worldwide, as well as several industry leading corporations, GNOME is part of the GNU project, and is free software (sometimes referred to as Open Source software). GNOME is included in practically all major BSD and GNU/Linux distributions, and runs on most other Unix systems.

This site offers information and resources for users, developers, companies and members of the press, reference documentation, information about the GNOME Foundation, and much more.
