Discovery Gardens

NEW! Access the Georgia Outdoor Classroom Council's newly revised and updated Resource Guide. Of course, the Guide will be especially useful to schools located in Georgia, but there's plenty of information that will be relevant to anyone planning or using an outdoor classroom. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for visiting the Discovery Gardens website. I have good news and bad news. If you've visited before, you've probably noticed that the site hasn't changed in several months. That's because I haven't had time to work on it. Unfortunately, Discovery Gardens has gone out of business.

However, I am in the process of forming a non-profit corporation to research and promote the educational uses of school grounds. If I am able to obtain funding for this project, I plan to reorganize the site around this new emphasis. Unfortunately, until I am able to obtain funding, I doubt I will have the time to devote to expanding this site.

Those people who indicated that they would like to be put on the Discovery Gardens e-mail mailing list will be notified when (and if) this reorganization occurs. I anticipate changing the name of the site, but I will include a pointer from this site to any new site. If you would like to be notified when the changeover occurs (or possibly when major improvements are made to this site), send me an e-mail and I'll add your name to the list.

I appreciate all the positive feedback I've gotten from you all, and I hope that in the not-too-distant future I will be able to provide you with a new site brimming with information about the educational uses of school grounds.
