NGC246 - 20 minute exposure

981018 1:06 AM EDT: NGC246 in a 20 minute exposure at +5° C!!!  (forgot to turn on the cooler on the CCD -- oops!). SBIG ST-8 in hi-res (9µ pixel) mode with Celestron C14 at f7.  Some tracking problems are evident in the bright stars. This was taken at the Mid-Atlantic Star Party near Robbins NC, a very dark site for the east coast.  This is a good example of a planetary nebula.  The nebula is magnitude 8.0 and spans 4' of arc..
