The Team

Racing was kept to local areas in 2006 but we raced at our favorite courses in Bakersfield, Burley and Long Beach for our APBA Summer Nationals.

Both weekends in Bakersfield were great weekends, coming away with 1st for both weekends.  Every change made was the right change and we won each heat of racing.

Burley was as good as ever!  The local fans were as supportive as ever and we thank everyone for coming out.  Thank you for voting us the "Fan Favorite"!

Saturday was the first day of competition and we had a great time.  We had heating problems in the first heat but came back in the last-chance qualifier and ended up with the 2nd best time of the entire weekend! Sunday was bow-to-bow racing and the crowd saw some awesome racing.  Steve Tustinson won the mink (congratulations to Steve!) and we came in 3rd for the weekend.

Thank you Burley and thank you Best Western Inn of Burley.  We will see you in 2007!

In 2005 we competed at our favorite spots, the great race in Burley, Idaho, a couple of fun weekends in Bakersfield and a competitive weekend of racing at Long Beach.  We have made a lot of changes to the boat and spent much of the season testing and trying to fine-tune the changes.  We also took Kenny's enduro boat out for a great enduro race at Parker in October.  It was a relaxing, fun year of racing and we are looking forward to 2006.

We raced a very limited schedule in 2003, due to Danny’s recuperation from the injury he received in the crash in October 2002 at Pleasanton. One of the races we did go to was in BURLEY, IDAHO, host of the 2003 Crackerbox Summer Nationals. There we became the 2003 Nationals Champion, 2003 Bill Faulkner Sr. Memorial Trophy and Moyle Mink winner and winner of 5 out of 5 race heats. What a tremendously successful trip we had. The Burley Regatta is always a lot of fun with exciting competition. The Crackers had the largest field of boats ever at a Nationals event with 14 entries. We won every heat of racing, won the Nationals and won the Mink for being the boat that either breaks or comes closest to the APBA’s record for their class. THANK YOU BURLEY IDAHO.We also raced Kenny’s Endurance Tunnel, ET-96, The Family Affair, in Parker Arizona, a race sponsored by the Blue Water Resort and Casino. This was the first time on the water after making some major modifications following the Bakersfield Race. Those modifications made a world of difference and Kenny was kicking up water and taking names!

The 2002 season ended with Gramp’s Cracker upside down in the water at Pleasanton, Danny recuperating for 3 months and a fun year of racing over! We had a great time in Burley, Idaho, where we raced for the Western Divisionals title, competed in the Nationals in Long Beach and fought for a good finish at the first Series race in Parker. There was a lot of learning and fine-tuning and hopefully the 2003 season will benefit from it! The season ended on a high note with the maiden voyage of Kenny’s newly redesigned Endurance Tunnel boat (ET-96, The Family Affair) at Bakersfield.

During the 2001 racing season we hit the road, raced hard and brought home the checkered flag as we won the Summer Nationals Championship, finished 2nd in Crackerbox Series Points and placed 3rd in APBA National High Points.

The 2000 race year was the inaugural year for Gramp's Cracker driven by Danny with Kenny as the Rider. 2000 was an exciting year and was extremely successful for our first year out. We placed 5th in National High Points and came in 2nd at the Crackerbox Nationals in Pleasanton, California.
