·         Selected as AMS/NSF Atmospheric Education Resource Agent, completing  PROJECT ATMOSPHERE training in: Boulder, Colorado; Kansas City, Mo.; Oklahoma City; Madison, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation and NOAA. This training continues

 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

TECHNOLOGY & ROBOTICS TEACHER, SARA SCOTT HARLLEE MIDDLE SCHOOL- AN ENGINEERING MAGNET 2005-current

·         Developed a new middle school level technology and robotics program.

·         Technology Student Association (TSA) advisor

·         Designed morning and after-school extra-curricular technology program

CURRICULUM SPECIALIST, MANATEE ELEMENTARY MAGNET SCHOOL OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY PLUS 2002-2005

·         Facilitated the integration and implementation of technology across the curriculum in Grades K-5

·         Established and directed the first elementary level Science & Technology Center in Manatee County

·         Conducted numerous teacher trainings on a wide variety of technology tools and applications and hands-on science activities aligned with state standards

·         Taught 3 GIFTED and TALENTED science sections for GATE students brought to Manatee Elementary Magnet school from other district schools

·         DEVELOPED NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED SCIENCE PROGRAM- highly motivational, hands-on science program at Westmoreland, NH School District of SAU# 29, at middle school level.

·         Developed grade 6 reading and spelling programs, non-basal reading program utilizing Newbery Award books.

·         MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEERING: includes experience in electronic design, electro-mechanical machine design, machining, and robotics, CAD, CAM.

 

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:

·         Fully versed in PC and Macintosh platforms. Helped design & set-up school network

·         Versed in Photoshop, Macromedia Director, Ray Dream Studio, Bryce 3D, Adobe Premier, iMovie and other advanced multimedia development software.

·         Conducted numerous computer workshops including MS Office and Appleworks

·         Teachers Workshop on Internet, desktop publishing, & general computer operation.

·         Student Workshops on word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, and advanced digital imaging. Taught students how to build a computer.

·         Have developed computer skills program for middle school students on the operation of data bases, spreadsheets, and word processing

·         Developed Westmoreland Weather Team website and school websites on the internet

·         Developed the student run Westmoreland TV Cable Channel 8, raising funds for the school

·         Computerized the AM News Show at Manatee Elementary to incorporate advanced graphics and Chromakey into the presentation.  Used same technology to automate and enhance electronic school bulletin board

·         Served on the New Hampshire Educational Improvement And Assessment Program Committee to create and analyze the State Science Proficiency Test items

·         Involved in developmental work for the National Science Proficiency Standards

·         Participated in numerous speleological exploratory and mapping expeditions  (National Speleological Society)

·         Directed Mountain Trek, a summer  hiking-mountain climbing camp in  New Hampshire's White Mountains, for middle school and high school students
