Route: Here's a half-century that circles the Tucson Mountains west of Tucson. Experience some of the best views of the Tucson Mountains without having to actually climb Gates Pass! Especially nice in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. The saguaros in Saguaro National Park are always spectacular. One variation on this route is to turn right on McCain loop at about 33.5 miles into the ride and resume on Kinney Rd 3.8 miles later. This adds just one mile to the overall route and provides more fantastic views of Avra Valley.

Café: The recent Arizona Daily Star article probably says it best: "Situated within Cat Mountain Station, a quirky little artisan and gift center, Coyote Pause percolates with Bohemian charm. Inside, the walls are splashed in yellows and reds and diners eat at tables with multicolored and multipatterned tablecloths. The cafés spacious covered patio area has elaborately designed metal work along the edges." Bicycle Security: There are no bike racks here, but plenty of places in the courtyard area to stash them, some visible from the outdoor patio and easy places to lock them together away from street view.
