"So, the Old Ways interest you? Read on and find out about
the ancient path I follow...and...Yes, Virginia, the Gods ARE real." --Dragynphyre

I am faced more and more often with ignorant people who don't quite understand
that I'm just practicing my faith, much as they practice Christianity or Judaism...I think
almost every pagan has heard these words come out of the mouths of people around
them. "Pagan? Oh, you mean a Satanist..."
I am a Druid, a "child of the oak", one who worships the old gods and
goddesses in a way that reflects the ancient traditions of the Celts, the Norse, and other
cultures, as if they had not been interrupted in any way by the Christianization of
Europe.
I am not a witch. I do not practice Wicca, although it is a closely related
tradition, based on Celtic mythology. However, Wiccans tend to focus upon one
Goddess (The Maiden, The Mother, The Crone) and Her Consort (the Year King, the Horned
One), while Druids (at least in the ADF school of thought) tend towards venerating an
entire pantheon of gods...a true polytheistic view of the world, as it were.
