MEETINGS BEGIN AT 6:30pm ON THE
FIRST TUESDAY OF THE EVEN NUMBERED MONTHS. THE NEXT MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL
BE HELD ONAugust 7, 2001
The April meeting
will feature nominations for convention delegates. It's time for a trip out of
town or a few nights on the town! It isn't likely the Verizon members will try
to have their own Local by making a move out of "Loco" 9510 at the April
meeting. They will try again in June. If the representation gets any worse
there might be enough to show up to at least get a vote of the membership via a
referendum.
When it was tried in October, mom (the president) got a
little heavy handed about who she was going to allow to vote because they
weren't listed as members (a few had recently joined) until someone called her
on it. She then allowed them to vote but the GT move to freedom and out from
the heavy hand of the "Queen of Hearts"

and would like to share what was probably a forgettable experience, feel free

The only requirement to
use it is the courage to state your case. I can guarantee that there will be no
censorship! What I can't guarantee is that there will be no retribution from
the 'Queen Bee' or any of her drones!
The smell of 'democracy' has
passed over us and left it's stench. The "Queen of Hearts" was re-elected by 24
votes. They say a 'Texas Leaguer' looks like a line drive in the box score in
the next days paper. That is probably how her "team" is describing it. However,
when an incumbent Local President can only win by 24 votes against a member who
nobody has ever heard of speaks for itself as to how woefully inept she
is!
