You can try reaching the Local
President at one of the above numbers. If you are calling before 10AM or after
3PM and she is not there (she rarely is) one of the secretaries will page her
for you. Tuesday is an exception because that is the day the trough is opened
up so lost time wage (LTW) checks have to be signed for people who have been
off the job. Fridays are coded us UP (Company Paid days) courtesy of Pac Bell.
The President is paid her basic wage from the Company for Friday and then
submits a voucher for the difference between it and the president's salary per
the Local's Bylaws. She is what you could call; "overpaid and underworked". She
is tough to find on Fridays. If you don't believe it, try!
The "Queen of
Hearts" was re-elected to a full term in the last election. Her opponent lost
by 26 votes. Her opponent was an unknown who had never been to a Local 9510
meeting until the night of nominations. Nita gets to slop at the "Union Trough"
for another three (3) years.
