General, Organic, and Biochemistry is a
two-semester allied health chemistry textbook.
It was mainly used
in nursing chemistry courses. It had basic
general chemistry which
supported a survey of organic chemistry
which could be used to understand
the fundamentals of biochemistry
and physiological chemistry.
In addition, to the material that is found
in the Essentials book, it had extra sections in some
chapters and additional chapters on the elements
of life, body fluids, nutrition,
and two chapters on cellular metabolism
(instead of one). This book came in just under
900 pages compared to 650 pages for the Essentials
book.
