NOISE AND SSA SOFTWARE
Based on the use of FRACDER as a subroutine,
the NOISE program was developed and installed on our PC's. In effect, the
NOISE program represents a variable noise generator capable of producing
many different types of noise, characterized by a variety of spectral
shapes. The NOISE
software utilizes fractional calculus to generate simulated turbulence
time series with spectral
properties consistent with measured data.
For spectral and statistical
analysis of stochastic time
series the SSA program provides mean, standard deviation, probability
density function and
power spectral density function.
