Music in Worship

Eastgate Choir

The Eastgate Choir sings Sundays at our 10:30 AM worship service September through June. The choir enriches worship and refuels our souls with a wide variety of music from traditional anthems to gospel and contemporary praise songs. Membership in the choir is open to all with a desire to praise God in song and a commitment to the ministry of the choir by faithful participation in rehearsals and Sunday worship services.

Rehearsals are Thursdays from 7:30 – 9:00 PM

Bill Stanley, Choir Director

Bill Stanley, our music director has sung since childhood in church choirs in Washington, California and Minnesota (college), and has been an interim director in both the Kirkland and Renton UCC churches. He brings an interest in both traditional and contemporary music, involving both the choir and small groups, and plays guitar with some of the music presented. Additionally he currently sings with the Eastside Master Chorus — masterchoruseastside.org, formerly the Issaquah Chorale — and sang for many years with the Seattle Symphony Chorale. Bill welcomes comments and questions about his interests and current musical offerings; you can reach him by email at valcouns@earthlink.net
Bill is also a family and individual therapist at Valley Counseling Associates of Renton, which he owns and operates with his wife, Carol. He has two adult sons who live on the East Coast and three grandchildren.
