The Little Backhoe That Couldn't

It was a lovely Labor Day; warm and sunny with birds chirping and squirrels scampering. I drove up Baseline west of Broadway (towards Chautauqua) and took a left on 15th, staying on that beyond where it turns into Bellevue. When I came to Sierra (which ends at the trailhead I was interested in), I came upon a rather incredible sight. A large excavator/backhoe had fallen over. Behold...

How often do you get to see the bottom of an excavator?

I have no idea how they're going to get this thing back upright, but I have a feeling it will require some pretty gnarly machinery.
