SEAGRAVES Services for Lillian Langehennig, 90, of Seagraves will be at
2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Seagraves with the Rev.
L.D. Hinson officiating.
Burial will be at Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves under the direction of
Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Seagraves.
She died Friday, July 19, 2002.
She was born Nov. 17, 1911, in Crowell. She moved to Seagraves in 1952 from Winters.
She attended school in Ford County and was affiliated with the Church of God
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry, in 1963 and a son, Bruce,
Survivors include six sons, Douglas, Alex and Paul, all of Seagraves, Lonny of
Lubbock, Johnny of Odessa and Robert of Brownfield; six daughters, Dena Gardner,
Glyda Floyd, Martha Gooding and Joanna Langehennig, all of Seagraves, Alma Lampp
of Ulysses, Kan., and Mary Sines of Traverse City, Mich.; a brother, Robert Lee
of Graham; two sisters, Pat Goff and Vera Lee, both of Wichita Falls; 32 grandchildren;
56 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was married to John Henry Langehennig (son of John
Heidrich Langehennig and Ada Lee Nelson) on 27 Nov 1928
in Coleman, Texas. John Henry Langehennig was born
on 4 Dec 1902 in Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, Texas. He appeared on the
census on 16 Apr 1930 in Precinct #8, Callahan County, Texas.

was buried in Leaday Cemetery, Leaday, Texas. Lillian Estella Lee and John Henry

Joanna Langehennig, age 63, passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2009,
Services for Ms. Langehennig will be Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, 10:30 a.m., at
the First Assembly of God Church in Seagraves, with Pastor L.D. Hinson officiating.
Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves. Services are under
the personal direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Seagraves.
Joanna was born on Sept. 21, 1945, in Winters, Texas, to John Henry and Lillian
Langehennig. She has been a life long resident of Seagraves. Joanna was known
for her prayer ministry and was considered a prayer warrior. She also loved music
and played the piano.
Those left to cherish her memories include five brothers, Alex, of Seagraves,
Lonnie and Robert, both of Lubbock, Johnny, of Odessa, and Paul, of Loop; five
sisters, Dena Gardner, Glyda Faye Floyd, and Martha Gooding, all of Seagraves,
Alma Lampp, of Ulysses, Kan., and Mary Sines, of Traverse City, Mich.; she also
leaves behind 36 nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Doug and Bruce.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Cal Farley's
Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174.
