MARTIN

Mrs. Annie Beard, age 78, passed away at residence, 1016 Haines St.

Survived by four daughters: Mrs. Paul N. Garrett, Mrs. Claude J. Carter of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Suzie Whalen of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sons: J. T. Martin, Dr. G. S. Martin, Susanbell, Calif.; J. Don Martin of Marquez, Texas, James H. Martin Dallas.; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Services 10 a.m. Friday, at Lamar & Smith Chapel, Dr. Thomas F. Gallaher officiating. Interment Old Oak Cliff Cemetery.

She was married to James Thompson William Alexander Martin (son of James Benjamin Martin and Mary King) on 26 Oct 1879 in Coryell County, Texas. ⁽¹⁰⁶⁾ James Thompson William Alexander Martin was born on 9 May 1849 in Cherokee County, Georgia. From the Dallas Newspaper, July 19, 1920:

Martin - J. T. Martin, 72 years old, died at his home, 1113 North Bishop Avenue, at 10:30 o'clock last night. The funeral will be held at the home at 4 o'clock this afternoon.

Burial will be in Oak Cliff Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, five sons, Dr. George S. Martin, Susanville, Cal.; J. H. Martin, Los Angeles; and J. T. Jr., Harry W., and Don Martin, Dallas; and four daughters, Mrs. C. J. Carter, San Antonio; Mrs. Susie Whaling, Mrs. W. F. Estes and Miss Annie Martin of Dallas, and one sister, Mrs. Matt Robinson, Dallas. Anna Beard and James Thompson William Alexander Martin had the following children:
