BEARD

Mr. Andrew Jay Beard, 339 Porter St., born in Austin, Texas April 2, 1889, entered rest Monday, Feb. 3, 1976 at the age of 86 years. Memorial services Thursday 10:00 a.m., Alamo Chapels, Rev. Harold H. Zirkel officiating with interment to follow in City Cemetery No. 4.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Beard; son Andrew John Beard, City; sister, Mrs. Laura Parish, LaCoste, Texas; brothers Tom Beard, Alpine, Texas, Clyde Beard, Austin, Texas, Carl Beard Round Rock, Texas, Claude Beard, Fort Worth, Texas, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Beard was a member of the Methodist Church and has been a resident of San Antonio for the past 62 years. Services under the direction of a member of the Lelon Cude family.

He was married to Elizabeth Meridell Sipple (daughter of John Davis Sipple and Theresa Hyatt) on 22 Oct 1919 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.⁽²²⁰⁾ Elizabeth Meridell Sipple was born on 1 Mar 1894 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. She appeared on the census on 13 Jan 1920 in 339 Paorter Street, 7th Ward, San Antonio, Texas.⁽²²¹⁾ She died on 4 Sep 1985 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. ⁽²²²⁾ She was buried in City Cemetery #4, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.

BEARD

Elizabeth M. Beard of San Antonio, Texas entered into rest Wednesday, September 4, 1985, at the age of 91 years. Survived by Son & daughter-in-law, John & Mildred Beard, Sr., of Bracken, Tx., 2 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside Service will be held in the City Cemetery No. 4 Friday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. Interment following.
