P. No. 4, Brazoria County, Texas. ⁽⁴³⁸⁾ He died on 24 Jul 1951. He was buried in McDade Cemetery, Bastrop County, Texas.

He was married to Lizzie about 1913. Mellie Odis Scott and Lizzie had the following children:

He was married to Florence B. Vance (daughter of Willie Lee Vance and Edith) in 1926. Florence B. Vance was born on 17 Aug 1905 in Millican, Texas. She died on 14 Mar 1997 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. She was buried in McDade Cemetery, Bastrop County, Texas.

FLORENCE B. SCOTT

Florence B. Scott, 91, of Elgin, passed away Friday, March 14, 1997.

She was born August 17, 1905 at Millican, Texas to Willie Lee and Edith Vance.

Her survivors include her sons, Clyde O. Scott and wife, Lois, Lee Roy Scott and wife, Elizabeth, all of Houston; daughters, Dorothy L. Gault of Austin and Edith Lanfear and husband, Bob, of Burnett; five sisters; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Newby's Chapel in Elgin with burial in McDade Cemetery, McDade.

Arrangements by Newby Funeral Home, Elgin. Mellie Odis Scott and Florence B. Vance had the following children:
