FRED GERREL IVY

Graveside services for Fred Gerrel Ivy of Utopia were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Waresville Cemetery with the Rev. Laura Adam officiating.

Ivy died April 25, 1992, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 81.

He was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Utopia and married Mary Baker in San Antonio on Jan. 6, 1943.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ivy of Utopia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Gene and Eloise Doerr of Como, Colo. and Melvin Douglas and Willean Doerr of Aurora, Colo.; two brothers, Ray and Morris Ivy of Uvalde; a sister, Louna Beard of Uvalde; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ivy was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Jane Ivy and two brothers and one sister.
